Gassenhof Wellness Hotel https://www.gassenhof.com emerges in Val Ridanna among the smartest and most tasteful eco-friendly facilities.

This four-star superior hotel, set in a magnificent mountain setting and equipped with a wellness area and indoor and outdoor swimming pools, consists of two buildings made of local materials that recall tradition, flanked by a historic farmhouse dating back to 1375, now become Chalet Gratznhäusl.
They are brothers Stefan and Manfred Volgger, owners who proudly and enthusiastically carry on the story of a hard-working family that started in 1974 with Adolf Volgger and his wife Helene.
Enthusiasm that of the Volgger family becomes a goal to create something unique in the area in Valridanna in the Upper Isarco Valley, in the municipality of Racines.
Val Ridanna is still an under-explored area that eschews mass tourism.
There is a lot of genuineness, concreteness and few niceties. There is a great desire to grow and do well, and there is no shortage of potential in the already special place.

Thanks to theself-production of spirits and beers , the aging of cheeses, and the sourcing of zero- or near-zero-kilometer products, Gassenhof has been awarded the first level of the prestigious South Tyrol Sustainability Seal.
It is the latest project created at the Volgger’s behest, the Genusshaus MountBecher https://mountbecher.com/adhaving strengthened the connection with the local area, a strong element that unites the Volgger’s project narrative.

Genusshaus Mount Becher is precisely a great tribute to the area

This brand-new facility, located just a few minutes from the Gassenhof, is open to all and includes a bistro restaurant, a showroom selling local delicacies and products created and crafted in house, and two brewing and schnapps areas.

“Mount Becher” is a name that harkens back to the Biasi al Bicchiere hut, the highest in South Tyrol at 3,195 meters above sea level where the Volgger brothers even refine whiskey.
The same products for sale at Genusshaus Mount Becher pay homage to the area

- “1253” vodka celebrates the year of the first extant historical documentation of the Ridanna Valley

- “ArGINtum” ginis based on the Latin term “Argentum,” a tribute to the area’s historic silver mines. It also inspired the creation of a suite at Gassenhof, which is distinguished by the refinement of the furnishings . The self-produced gin is of high quality and purity , with no additives. Three references

Much of the same ingredients are found in the menu offered by the hotel, which changes daily.
