Luce di Sorrento is one of two cosmetic lines used at the Lepietre cozy spa at the Hotel Mediterraneo, in Sant’Agnello on the Sorrento coast. The five-star hotel, a Michelin key, GSTC-certified for sustainable tourism, converted from the then private residence of Antonietta Lauro, “Grandma Etta,” sister of shipowner Achille, is now run by her grandchildren, brothers Pietro and Francesco Monti.

Luce di Sorrento is a natural land brand made from Sorrento lemon essential oil and extra virgin olive oil from the Sorrento Peninsula and seawater. The spa was built in 2018 in ancient tuff foundations. During the day it is illuminated by natural light, while in the evening there is a fiber optic star vault. It was designed by architect Luigi Alfaro, who brought back the original tufa stones from which it takes its name and the original barrel vaults. Chestnut wood and gold decorations were also added. The spa, with an area of 250 square meters, is a unique room with natural light with an emotional shower, sauna, Turkish bath, Jacuzzi, Scottish shower and relaxation area. Next to it, it has a small Himalayan salt room to finish the treatments or to have special massages. “This year there was the introduction of a new spa brochure-explained Delia Cafiero, spa manager-we thought of a multisensory journey through the fragrances of our land. The ritual stones, which takes the name of the spa, is a hot stone massage revisited in a local key with stones from our local sea and bundles of local herbs compressed and with a decontracting and relaxing function. The face treatment with 100% natural and vegan Luce di Sorrento brand characterized by the use of active ingredients such as extra virgin olive oil and lemon essential oil with calming action on the nervous system and antioxidant. And finally “D-Tox Face & Body Aroma Ritual” detoxifying accompanied by citrus aromatherapy. The most popular treatment is for couples, “romance ritual” wellness path for private use to end with massage in the salt room; while in the wet area, a selection of finger foods, fresh fruit and sparkling wine classic method rosé produced in Campania are served.
