Fuorisalone 2026 – Milan Design Week – When design wears on its head
Milan – On the occasion of Fuorisalone 2026, the showroom of Plinio il Giovane, a Milanese furniture brand founded by Mario Prandina, opens to a contemporary narrative that combines design, art and experimentation, keeping its own identity and language at the center. A landmark of Milanese design for fifty years, the space-recognizable by its large windows and iconic pay-off “Non dorme, sogna“-confirms itself as an authentic cultural container, capable of welcoming different visions and relating them.

It is in this context that a synergy takes shape with The Queen’s Hat Exhibition, an international project conceived and curated by Gabriella Chiarappa, which fits as a creative intervention in dialogue, helping to build a shared narrative between languages.

Here, the hat is not the absolute protagonist, but one of the elements of the story: a contemporary sign that enters into relationship with space, design and other artistic expressions. Interpreting this vision is the creativity of Lina Naspro, who makes some particularly evocative creations for the occasion: between fascinators and references to the world of furniture, design is transformed into vision, carrying itself on the head.

An idea that becomes an image, an object that becomes a creative gesture.
After the success of the previous editions, 2026 marks a new chapter: an immersive experience in which different languages intertwine, creating unprecedented atmospheres. Setting the pace will be Antonio Sacco‘s vinyl DJ set, while mime Elena Pavoni ‘s performance will transform gesture into visual storytelling, creating a continuous dialogue between body and space. The experience will be enriched by a sensory path signed Serra & Fonseca, capable of accompanying guests in an immersive dimension between perception and memory.

An exclusive day during the Fuorisalone
On April 23, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Plinio il Giovane showroom will host an invitation-only VIP Party, an exclusive event that brings together visions and design in a high-profile setting. An occasion where design, art and fashion coexist in harmony, without hierarchies, creating a fluid and contemporary dialogue. A subtle balance, where each element retains its own identity while contributing to a broader vision.

Because design, when it is authentic, does not impose itself. It relates. Milan Design Week 2026 – Fuorisalone Showroom Plinio il Giovane
It is not just design. It is a vision taking shape.
