Wheat noodles, noodles, in hot broth of meat or fish served in a bowl, is ramen, a signature dish of Japanese cuisine with Chinese origins. The style of the dishes also translates into the design of the restaurant, as in the fourth Milanese location of Ramen Shifu in the Lambrate area, where the passion for Japanese pop culture stands out, mixing elements of manga, cyberpunk, and street art. The restaurant mimics a Japanese square, with facades of traditional houses embellished with paper lanterns, illuminated signs, and canopies, and then accesses an inner courtyard with neon fluorescent lights and cherry trees.

Ramen Shifu was born in Madrid in 2017 and landed in Milan in 2020; the Lombard venues are run by Shifu Jay Lin, a young Chinese partner in other successful formats, and Emanuele Fragella, who left a career in the pharmaceutical world to focus on catering. New at the Lambrate location is the collaboration with Wakai Store with the presence of authentic manga action figures, made with high-quality materials and accurate details, making them unique and appreciated by collectors and fans who can buy them complete with original box and certification, with a special discount dedicated to Shifu Lovers. Ramen Shifu paves the way for a future project that will also involve other Milanese venues, which will become showcases and temporary stores of authentic action figures. Each bowl of ramen is prepared following traditional recipes from the Hakata region of Japan.

Selected ingredients, such as fresh bones and vegetables, are left to cook for more than 6-9 hours. There is a selection of spicy dishes, with the option to customize the level of spiciness. Ramen Shifu also offers a vegan menu, and distinctive Japanese street food entrees, such as gyoza or takoyaki, and the rice menu.
