Fashion, art and vision. From July 12 to 16, 2025, Dolce&Gabbana’s signature Made in Italy excellence is intertwined with the great beauty of Rome. A once-in-a-lifetime event that transforms the capital into an open-air set, where art, history and haute couture dialogue in a crescendo of excitement, luxury and spectacle.
From July 12-16, 2025, Dolce&Gabbana will transform Rome into the world capital of haute couture with five days of spectacular events dedicated to Haute Couture , Haute Tailoring and Haute Jewellery. A cultural, aesthetic and strategic operation that confirms the narrative power of the fashion house and the centrality of fashion as a total language.

It is a true tribute to Italian magnificence that Dolce&Gabbana dedicates to Rome with its highly anticipated Grand Tour of Haute Couture, a project that began in 2012 and landed for the first time in the Eternal City, after Taormina, Venice, Naples, Alberobello, Syracuse, Como and Nora. An extraordinary event, sponsored by Roma Capitale and carried out in synergy with the Ministry of Culture. Rome is not only the new stage: it is the apotheosis. The brand returns to dialogue with history, art and architecture, with a visionary force that transcends fashion to become spectacle, ritual and declaration of intent.
“Rome is a place of the heart,” say Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, “an extraordinary city that embodies our love for Italy and its history. For artists and creative people of all times it has always been and will be an endless source of inspiration. This is why we are particularly excited and honored at the idea of bringing our Haute Couture here, as part of the Grand Tour that for years has allowed us to explore and celebrate the timeless beauty of our cities and offer it to the world.”
The calendar unveiled on Capitol Hill, is a true gem: five immersive days that will traverse the iconic sites of Rome, creating a symphony of elegance, culture and craftsmanship.
On July 12 it will be Via Veneto, temple of the Dolce Vita, that will inaugurate the celebrations with an exclusive event that will revive the glamour of Roman nights in the 1950s and 1960s. The following day, July 13, the journey will continue at Villa Adriana in Tivoli, in the mystical Maritime Theater, where the new High Jewelry collection will be presented in a perfect blend of contemporary sophistication and imperial pomp.

The heart of the event beats fast on July 14: the Alta Moda collection will parade among the vestiges of the Roman Forum, an emblem of the sacredness and power of ancient Rome. On July 15, it will beAlta Sartoria‘s turn instead: the protagonist will be the evocative Ponte Sant’Angelo, framed by Bernini’s sculptures and dominated by the solemnity of Castel Sant’Angelo, in a night suspended between sky, art and masculine refinement.
“Rome represents for us not only a creative achievement, but an act of love for Italy and its cultural heritage,” said Alfonso Dolce, the brand’s CEO. “In such a symbolic year for the capital, we wish to offer an experience that celebrates Italian savoir-faire and the deep dialogue between fashion, art and territory. As has already happened in other cities, this event will boost local excellence: from artisans to suppliers, from accommodations to cultural venues.”

The closing, scheduled for July 16, will be an exclusive party to seal the celebration of Italian beauty, creativity and identity in a dreamlike atmosphere that only Rome can offer.
The strategic value of the event was underscored by the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, who commented, “Welcoming Dolce&Gabbana’s Grand Tour is for this administration an honor and recognition of serious work to bring Rome back to the center of the world’s attention. We are proud to share our millennial history with such a prestigious brand, and to demonstrate how fashion, combined with the mastery of craftsmanship, can contribute to the enhancement of our cultural and artistic heritage.”

An enthusiasm also shared by Alessandro Onorato, Assessore ai Grandi Eventi, Sport, Turismo e Moda di Roma Capitale, who said, “We strongly wanted to host this unique global event in Rome. Dolce&Gabbana had never shown in the capital, and it is no coincidence that today they chose us. It is the fruit of work we have been carrying out for more than three years to return Rome to the role it deserves: that of an international metropolis, modern, efficient and capable of hosting major global events. We are no longer the city of ‘no’s,’ but a dynamic capital where projects come to fruition and leave a concrete legacy. We have provided the most extraordinary venues that no other city in the world can boast, and this will also be an investment in economic, employment and image terms. There are over 10,000 rooms already booked, thousands of temporary jobs generated, and the entire city will benefit from international visibility of the highest level. I thank Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for believing in Rome: their vision coincides perfectly with our idea of a city that looks to the future while respecting its glorious past.”
To crown the project, the exhibition “From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana” also opened on May 14 until Aug. 13, 2025 at Palazzo Esposizioni Roma, promoted by Assessorato alla Cultura di Roma Capitale and Azienda Speciale Palaexpo, under the patronage of Roma Capitale, produced and organized by Azienda Speciale Palaexpo with IMG and curated by Florence Müller with set designs by Agence Galuchat, brings together more than two hundred unique creations by Dolce&Gabbana, a symbol of Italian Haute Couture style. A multisensory journey into the brand’s creative universe, which after Milan and Paris arrives in the Capital with brand-new rooms and content, testifying to a deep and vibrant bond between the brand and its host city. The exhibition itinerary unfolds in a succession of large immersive rooms over an area of about 1,500 square meters, exploring the brand’s creative and unconventional thinking in the world of luxury-elegant, sensual and unique, but also ironic, irreverent and revolutionary. The creations are told through a series of themes that highlight the many Italian cultural influences at Dolce&Gabbana’s roots: from art to architecture, from fine craftsmanship to folklore, from music to opera, ballet, theater, and, of course, suggestions of the “dolce vita.”
Five days, four fashion shows, three legendary locations, a sartorial identity celebrated as a living and precious heritage: Dolce&Gabbana Alta Moda Roma 2025 is much more than an event. It is a daydream, a modern fresco of Italian greatness. And Rome, once again, confirms itself as the universal capital of the Beautiful.
