Over 600 attendees over two days sealed the success of the third edition of the Rome Fashion Show #Haute Couture, held in the prestigious setting of the Salone delle Colonne in the EUR district. Under the creative direction of Steven G. Torrisi, the event reaffirmed its international scope by bringing together young talents, leading figures in haute couture, and ambassadors of the fashion industry.
The event opened with a discussion focused on the themes of the rule of law, violence prevention, emotional education, and respect for the individual, moderated by attorneys Bartolomeo Giordano, Romina Lanza, and journalist Marialuisa Roscino, highlighting how fashion can also serve as a tool for cultural and social reflection.
The first day put the spotlight on the new generation of designers, with a particular focus on sustainability and innovation. The event also featured the unveiling of the Re-Eco Fashion Award, sponsored by the UniVerde Foundation, an award that will officially debut at the 2027 edition.
Designers from Italy and across Europe took to the runway, each interpreting couture through their own unique styles, yet united by a strong commitment to style and craftsmanship.
From the textile architecture of Accademia Viola to the identity-driven works of Paola Bignardi, and on to the sartorial poetics of Concita Petralito, who, with *Gocce Barocche*, has transformed every dress into a true wearable sculpture. Ample space was also given to sustainable projects presented in collaboration with Coldiretti, demonstrating how fashion, the local area, and environmental protection can engage in a meaningful dialogue.
The participation of the Lugano School of Fashion – Swiss Fashion Impulse was also particularly well-received; it brought a new generation of international designers to the runway, confirming the value of education as a driving force behind the industry’s creative evolution.
The second day was dedicated to the leading figures of the national and international haute couture scene. Among the most eagerly awaited guests was Mario Benton, an American designer making his debut on the Roman runway, who was greeted with enthusiasm after a career built around the major American Fashion Weeks. His creations, rich in light, sequins, and crystals, set the stage for a dialogue with some of the most influential names in Italian couture.
From Nino Lettieri to Michele Miglionico, from Franco Ciambella to Gianni Calignano, including Giovanni Cannistrà, Gian Paolo Zuccarello, Pina Grasso, Pietro Paradiso, Salvatore Pappacena, and Rezarta Skifteri—each fashion house has presented its own vision of contemporary elegance, blending sartorial tradition, stylistic innovation, and experimentation.
The event was broadcast live worldwide on the MR TV Models Runway channel, further expanding the event’s international visibility.
With the support of institutions and the sponsorship of numerous national organizations, the Rome Fashion Show #Haute Couture continues to serve as a platform capable of showcasing “Made in Italy,” promoting new talent, and strengthening the dialogue between creativity, culture, and sustainability, thereby solidifying its role as one of the leading events in Italian fashion.
