Ruggeri launches the first Cartizze Dry Millesimato

Ruggeri launches Cartizze Dry Millesimato and presents it for holiday pairings.

Ruggeri one of Valdobbiadene’s historic Prosecco wineries launches its first Cartizze Dry Millesimato 2024.

Cartizze is the spearhead of the DOCG quality scale, a 30-km area stretching from Conegliano to Valdobbiadene. It is precisely within this area that Cartizze represents a valuable subzone for its microclimatic characteristics , making it the grand cru of Prosecco Superiore DOCG.

Ruggeri emerges among the private wineries that makes Cartizze wine in the greatest quantity.

  • Ruggeri Cartizze Dry Millesimato because it’s different

Ruggeri Cartizze Dry Millesimato comes from the Glera grape variety (min.85%) and other varieties of white grapes from the territory (max.15%) after six months of resting on the lees, a period far longer than the traditional timing of Prosecco Superiore.

The result is a sparkling wine characterized by pleasant lightness, fine perlage and notes of yellow apple and wisteria flowers

The first meeting between the two excellences took place in Milan last Nov. 26 at the Fusto chocolate and confectionery boutique on Via Ponchielli.

A cake in which to perceive on tasting the whole world of this wine made of flowers fruits and spices. We find the acidity in the raspberry as opposed to the touch of the rose.

Sparkling wine becomes vertical momentum, dessert becomes horizontal gesture: together they create a balance in which acidity, aromas and textures mirror each other with mutual respect.

The meeting takes place on the aromatic line of raspberry and rose, where the freshness of Ruggeri’s Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG Dry 2024 gives breath to the creamy part and amplifies the verticality of the fruit. Burnt vanilla closes the circle with a warmth that the sparkling wine dries and raises again, like a last burst of light.
