Spring at B24: panoramic terraces and new flavors in the heart of Rome

Roman spring is celebrated at B24, the restaurant and cocktail bar at Cinema Barberini, which finally opens its stunning multi-level panoramic terraces, now also available for outdoor dining. A new season inaugurated with a fresh and intriguing menu designed specifically to enhance the unique and evocative atmosphere of the heart of the Eternal City.

Eating on the terraces of B24 gives an extraordinary perspective on Piazza Barberini and Via Veneto. Climbing to the top floor of the historic building, the view ranges from the famous fountains to more intimate glimpses of Palazzo Barberini and the reserved little square on Via delle Quattro Fontane, which serves as the “secret” entrance to the restaurant. In this outdoor space, enhanced by elegant armchairs and sofas under large white umbrellas, dining becomes an experience of pure pleasure and relaxation.

At the helm of B24’s new season are executive chef Andrea Gallo and general manager Raffaele Castore, who, after significant international experience, now offer attentive and impeccable service. Gallo’s cuisine, with its ancestral character, is marked by a skillful use of charcoal, the absolute protagonist of the menu divided into sea, land and vegetable garden. Among the signature dishes, the barbecued cauliflower cooked at a low temperature with oil and soy, then enriched with a compote made from the vegetable waste itself, is a perfect example of sustainability and creativity.

Fine specialties such as bluefin tuna accompanied by tomato and buttermilk gruel, barbecued oysters with mustard vinaigrette, or miso-braised quail with royale sauce are on the seasonal menu. Also not to be missed are fresh homemade pastas such as the pizzaiola button with shellfish butter and red shrimp, and the great Roman classics: cacio e pepe, carbonara and amatriciana.

B24 is a place designed to welcome guests at all times of the day. After lunch, the afternoon continues with glamorous aperitifs, enhanced by exclusive finger foods, such as mini tuna tatakis and crispy homemade pastrami, accompanied by sophisticated movie-inspired cocktails: from the fresh “Eterno” with hay Vermouth and Cassis, to the bold “Santa Sangre” made with Mezcal.

For those looking for a more informal lunch break but without sacrificing quality, the menu also offers a selection of gourmet sandwiches, such as the royal burger and lobster roll, as well as fresh salads and light dishes, ideal for tackling the day with energy.

Even the time for dessert is designed to surprise and delight. The dessert menu is a mouthwatering journey between sugar and cinnamon doughnuts, pineapple carpaccio with coconut namelaka, and the classic tiramisu. For those who prefer original flavors, definitely try the goat and date ice cream served with a soft Sicilian brioche.

Special attention is also paid to movie buffs: before or after screenings in theaters at Cinema Barberini, B24 offers the Cinema Menu. This selection of dishes is designed to provide a tasty, quick meal without sacrificing quality and allowing guests to enjoy a dinner or lunch that is compatible with screening times. Dishes designed for gourmet cinephiles include clam noodle with coconut and lime, beef tartare with spring onion mayonnaise and seed waffle, as well as the aforementioned lobster roll and royal burger, accompanied by fresh salads. Desserts also find a place in this nimble and tasty formula, with offerings such as creme caramel and homemade ice cream.

Spring at B24 is not just a matter of taste but a complete experience, combining excellent cuisine, cinematic atmospheres and an enchanting view in the beating heart of Rome, making every visit a unique and memorable occasion.
