Venice 2025, between cinema, fashion and myth: Michela Scolari celebrates Marilyn Monroe at The St. Regis Venice

The magic of the Venice Film Festival intertwines with the timeless elegance of The St. Regis Venice in a project that has the flavor of myth. In fact, Michela Scolari, winner of the Emmy Award for Best Global Series with Drops of God, signs a new art-house short film that pays homage to Marilyn Monroe, an absolute icon of style and femininity, who had spent unforgettable moments of her life precisely at The St. Regis.

Lending her face and charisma to the memory of the Hollywood diva is Claudia Gerini, the refined protagonist of a film that mixes cinema and fashion, wearing haute couture creations by Anton Giulio Grande. “The silks, the pearls, the stones and crystals, the leathers and lace: every element of an AGG dress is Made in Italy, handmade by the artisans of our country,” says the designer, defined by many as the Couturier of Divas. “I firmly believe that the future of fashion passes through a return to the ancient and eternal values of Italian Arts and Crafts. My clothes are unique pieces, as unique is the story of the Italian tradition that will never stop telling. The collaboration with Michela Scolari and Jaqueline Illy goes precisely in this direction: to restore value and visibility to true Made in Italy. And this alliance with The St. Regis Venice is just the beginning.”

The short film, titled The St. Regis Venice – The Greatest Work of Art, is a very high-profile operation combining cinema, haute couture and marketing, signed by The Alchemists in collaboration with Bradamante Entertainment and The Pepegas Team.

Founded by Michela Scolari together with Jaqueline Illy, The Alchemists presents itself as a new agency capable of moving in the frontier between cinema, branding and cultural storytelling. “The Alchemists represents a bridge between the virtuosos of cinema and the arts and the world of celebrities and branding,” explains Scolari. “We are a creative and financial workshop that allows independent cinema to build, fund and distribute itself in a way that is innovative, international and free from the compromises of the Majors. I am particularly excited about our collaboration with Anton Giulio Grande, with whom we share a passion for Italian artistic traditions. Fashion and cinema have always told and enhanced each other’s stories, and it is our desire to continue to give life to projects that honor Made in Italy.”

A project that looks far ahead, fitting into a broader path: in fact, The Alchemists are already active in film production, with a musical involving John Travolta on the horizon, projects in collaboration with Getty Images, and innovative packaging and branding operations for independent cinema globally.

An evening that celebrated the beauty of cinema and the evocative power of fashion, wrapped in the sophisticated aura of The St. Regis Venice, the perfect setting for a project that blends glamour, heritage and contemporary vision.
