When beauty meets style: the Star Maker’s Seventies PartyFrancesca Pappalardo transforms Rome’s Via Veneto into a Flower Power catwalk

Rome was tinged with Flower Power on Saturday, Feb. 7, when Francesca Pappalardo, beauty entrepreneur and lookmaker to national and international celebrities, blew out 43 candles, transforming the famous “Il Tartarughino” on Via Veneto into a hippie-chic jubilation that made the heart of Rome’s Dolce Vita beat.

The owner of “Like a Star” salons orchestrated an evening where glamour and Seventies nostalgia melded into a perfect cocktail. The refined atmosphere of the venue welcomed guests in a whirlwind of music — from piano bar to themed disco — while the dance troupe enlivened the dance floor and tastings of the freshest seafood, fine wines and signature cocktails delighted the most discerning palates between dances.

The parterre of guests? A real catwalk of well-known faces: Manila Nazzaro and Stefano Oradei, Clizia Incorvaia, model Youma Diakite, Carlotta Mantovan, Carolina Marconi, Veronica Ursida, Elena Ballerini, Angela Achilli, and Turchese Baracchi. Valeria Marini, unable to attend, still wanted to make her affection felt with an emotionally charged video message. Prominent among the guests were Vittoria Craxi, a close friend of the birthday girl, Princess Victoria Torlonia and Isabella de Ligne accompanied by Prince Edouard de Ligne. There was no shortage of entrepreneurs and lawyers from Campania and Rome, fashion designers Rebecca De Lisi and Laura Iacobucci, and Pamela Frittella, creator of Padelsolution.

Strictly seventies dress code: the guests all perfectly themed, sported flared pants, bangs and flower crowns turned every guest into a vintage icon. Francesca shined in a dress signed Alta Sartoria “Mimi and Mama’,” tailored to perfectly embody the spirit of the evening.
