Housed within The First Cortina by The Pavilions https://www.pavilionshotels.com/ Zuma relaunches a new concept that combines the best of Japanese culture with the authenticity of the Italian Alps. The contemporary and refined design of the hotel, which is expected to open in the spring, is akin to Zuma’s aesthetic.

The interior design planned by Azumi’s interior design team is a meeting of cultures, whereby ‘elegance of Japanese craftsmanship is integrated with Italian alpine tradition through natural materials. Equipped with an advanced audiovisual system developed by Isometrix, the environment synchronizes music and lighting.
Zuma Cortina https://www.zumarestaurant.com/en/cortina , the hottest address of the moment, is spread over three environments: Main Room, Lounge and Cocktail Bar. The Main Room welcomes guests with an open robata kitchen and sushi bar at the counter; the lounge and cocktail bar – featuring an installation of ice blocks on granite evoking the Marmolada glaciers – host the pre-dinner aperitif.
It will be a success indeed it is already a success. Its opening coincided with a time when Cortina is in the center of the international spotlight thanks to the Milan Cortina Olympics, so it was a strategic and well-timed move.

Zuma Cortina, is inspired by a Japanese izakaya, so dishes are shared.
The menu blends iconic Zuma creations with seasonal inspirations from local traditions. From sushi to tempura, robata to hotpot. Prices are in line with the brand and quality of service.
Among the dishes on the menu are lobster soup with artichokes and ginger (€18) steamed beef gyoza and Japanese black vinegar (€23) wagyu tartare with black truffle (€35) tuna belly nigiri, oscietra caviar (€35), roasted lobster with green chili and shiso (€81), kamameshi with mushrooms and truffle (€62)
For Valentine’s Day, however, there is an Omakase menu exclusively dedicated to the occasion with a special dessert.

Zuma Cortina will be open 7 days a week, from 18:00 until 02:00. During the Winter Olympics (Feb. 6 to 22), lunch service will also be provided, from 12:00 to 15:30.
