“Humans as Luxury”: quando il valore umano diventa l’essenza del lusso

Sporting Vacanze and Ca’ del Bosco sign an event that redefines the concept of hospitality excellence, between vision, emotion and authenticity

In the golden light of Franciacorta, where rows of vines draw perfect hills and the air smells of art and savoir-faire, Sporting Vacanze has chosen Ca’ del Bosco to tell a new idea of luxury. It is called “Humans as Luxury” and is not just a convention, but a contemporary manifesto of high-end tourism, where human value becomes the most precious of experiences.

The event, reserved for 60 top-selling travel agents from all over Italy, was organized by Roman tour operator Sporting Vacanze, part of the Amodei Group, a reference point for the most exclusive Maldivian hotellerie on the Italian market. Between elegance and inspiration, the event celebrated the power of authentic relationships and the beauty of “teamwork,” with the aim of rediscovering, in a hyper-technological age, the irreplaceable value of people.

Doing the honors was Andrea Vannucci, General Manager of Sporting Vacanze, who welcomed the partners together with his team and, for the first time, the ownership and management of the Corriere dello Sport Group, represented by Marco Arduini and Raffaello Rossi. The setting of the historic Ca’ del Bosco cellars made everything more evocative: a place symbolic of Italian excellence, capable of blending art, nature and production perfection in a multi-sensory experience that enchants.

“Luxury is not just an exclusive destination or a dream resort,” said Andrea Vannucci, “but it is first and foremost the value of the people who build that experience. It is the smile of those who welcome, the sensitivity of those who advise, the care of those who turn a trip into a memory that lasts forever.”

A concept shared by all guests on the panel discussion, which featured Tommaso Fumelli (VP Sales Italy of ITA Airways), Marco Rencricca (Area Manager Central Italy of Allianz) and Manujaya Fernando (Sales & Marketing Manager of Aitken Spence Hotels, owner of the Maldivian resorts Heritance Aarah and Adaaran Select Meedhupparu).

The discussion highlighted the centrality of the human factor in a market where excellence is measured not only in the quality of services, but in mutual trust, qualified advice and empathy between the proposer and the traveler. “In the luxury segment,” Vannucci added, “the personal relationship remains the only true element that cannot be replicated.”

The most evocative moment of the day was the meeting with Maurizio Zanella, founder and president of Ca’ del Bosco, who took guests on a journey to the heart of his entrepreneurial vision: “Excellence comes from talent and daily work, from the union of passion and discipline. It is an act of love towards beauty.”

Zanella’s words paved the way for an exclusive tour through the production cycle of the renowned Franciacorta wines, followed by a refined tasting and an immersive dinner in the winery’s salons, amidst soft lighting, contemporary art and glasses that told stories of terroir and mastery. A multisensory experience capable of combining enology, design and hospitality, in perfect balance between authenticity and glamour.

For Sporting Vacanze, fresh off its fifth consecutive recognition as “Best Performer Tour Operator” at the Malé Tourism Fair, the event was an opportunity to reaffirm its leadership in tailor-made tourism, built on a strong network of relationships, constant training and a selection of resorts that embody the purest concept of “luxury experience.”

From the Maldives to Italy, the group’s philosophy is based on a simple but revolutionary idea: travel as a transformative experience, capable of generating authentic emotions and connections. “The future of high-end tourism,” concluded Vannucci, “is made of empathy, listening and humanity. Only in this way can luxury continue to excite.”

“Humans as Luxury” was not just an event, but a turning point for the industry. It was an invitation to reflect on a new way of interpreting travel, where the human relationship becomes the true experiential value and where excellence is measured in shared emotions, in the beauty of a kind gesture or unexpected attention.

In the magic of Ca’ del Bosco, amid the notes of Franciacorta and inspiring words, Sporting Vacanze has charted the course of a tourism that looks to the future with heart and vision. A tourism that returns to putting man at the center of luxury, restoring to travel its most authentic soul: that of encounter.
