A form of tourism that caters to a clientele with high expectations regarding the services offered and the quality of their stay—expressed in every detail, from design to high-end dining.

Located in the prestigious neighborhood of Vittoria Apuana—one of the most exclusive residential areas in Forte dei Marmi— La Serena Boutique Luxury Hotel is an elite destination frequented by celebrities and artists, just 300 meters from the sea.

With its 30 rooms, La Serena is a recently renovated boutique hotel with a carefully crafted and personalized identity. Warm color tones predominate in both the interior and exterior spaces.

- La Serena Hotel: A Golden Retreat
La Serena Hotel http://la La Serena Hotel Forte dei Marmi embodies a contemporary lifestyle while retaining the charm of the 1960s, with iconic lines, warm colors, and a relaxed glamour. After all, it was during that very era that Forte dei Marmi became “the golden retreat of the bourgeoisie and the stars.”

And La Serena is the very embodiment of that golden retreat of the 1960s and the artistic culture of the area. The hotel almost seems to rival the nearby villas nestled in the pine forests with its lush 1,000-square-meter garden shaded by maritime pines, an open-air gym, and an elegant pool with changing rooms that look like they’re straight out of a movie set.

When you walk into the bright lobby, it almost feels like you’re entering a private home, and it’s beautiful.

Flower pots, lush plants—the visual impact is striking.

And it is often flowers that are given as a complimentary gift to the ladies as they come down from their rooms or return there after a walk or a day spent under Italy’s most famous beach umbrellas.
And then, as if in a still frame, we can imagine a thirty-year-old Virna Lisi—more elegant than ever—approaching the bouquet. The atmosphere feels like that of a film in the style of *La Dolce Vita*.
La Serena embraces a new era in hospitality by combining impeccable service with Italian charm.

At the entrance, the Tiffany-green Mini Mouse figures are part of a story you’ll want to experience moment by moment. Guests can enjoy them along with the bicycles. Just like in an art gallery, at the Hotel La Serena you can admire works of art, sculptures, and installations by artists, some of whom are already famous.

In 2024, La Serena launched an artist-in-residence program, providing a space dedicated to the creation and production of works conceived and created specifically for the hotel. Among the artists were Pippa El-Kadhi Brown, Ziad Al Najjar, and Samo Shalaby.
Lumarea – The Exclusive Restaurant

How can an establishment that epitomizes la Dolce Vita fail to cater to its patrons’ desire for cuisine that is intriguing in both form and flavor?
And excellence is evident here as well, where the shape and color of the dishes create a seamless connection with the personality of La Serena, which is rooted in art and beauty.

Under the guidance of Chef Giuseppe Intermite, the restaurant captures that spirit of flavor and refinement that infuses its dishes with a contemporary Italian flair. Local ingredients, a touch of tradition, and a few exotic Eastern influences.

We tried a few of the dishes, which are a true expression of his creativity and the quality of the ingredients. For example, the raw seafood platter—specifically, sea bass carpaccio with candied lemon, green apple, radishes, and yarrow.
Red Shrimp with Celery, Celery Oil, and Grilled Tomatoes
Spaghetti with clams, a creamy sauce made with mild Certaldo garlic, parsley, and chili pepper.
Risotto with anchovy sauce and soy sauce.

The ingredients the chef combines tend to create contrasts.
To accompany the meal, we chose a Vermentino Colli di Luni from the Il Monticello winery.

La Serena’s wine list is vast, featuring 2,000 Italian and international wines.
